Chai Recipe
Chai is a popular drink at Biscotts and it tastes best when brewed fresh from black tea leaves, adding spices, milk and sweetener to taste. Go ahead and make a cup of chai at home using our recipe below.
Here’s how you make this magic drink at home:
GINGER CHAI:
Fresh milk (2%) – 1 1/2 cups
Fresh Ginger – crushed -1 tbsp.
Green Cardamom – 2
Black Tea Powder – 2 tsp,heaped or 2 tea bags
Brown or White Sugar – as needed
Method:
Boil milk and add peeled, crushed ginger and crushed cardamom (with skin) and tea powder.
Let it gently boil in simmer for 5-6 minutes or until you get a rich brown color and aroma. Filter using a tea strainer and add sugar.
Milk can be substituted with non-dairy options such as almond milk or soy milk.
